All about the Rock The history of ... To Rock the house Call on me
Tommy Meade, licensed massage therapist, trained at the Swedish Institute in 1994 and has been practicing professional Swedish and Shiatsu massage in New York City for over a dozen years. Tommy is also a veteran in the NYC nightlife scene, working in many capacities from bartender to host since the early 80's in New York's hottest clubs and music venues. Massage and music have been two major elements in the fabric of Tommy's life in New York. Tommy has a great understanding of humanity and the phenomenal effect that both music and the sense of touch have on the body and the spirit. Combining those elements one fateful night inspired the creation of a truly unique therapeutic experience.

While in the middle of a shift at a rock 'n' roll party, Tommy offered an impromptu neck, back, and shoulder rub to an exhausted manager complaining about tension and stiffness. Enter Daria Sullivan. Moonlighting in the bar business, Daria spent her days designing product launches and planning events for some of New Yorks's top PR agencies, continually searching for the exciting new ways to pamper the press and leave lasting impressions. While sitting on a bar stool listening to the DJ play hits from bands like the Strokes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Morning Wood, Tommy rhythmically rubbed healing energy into Daria's tired existence. She got up from the barstool feeling soothed and invigorated at the same time, ready to face the rest of the night and the next day too! The barstool massages continued and the technique was perfected. Daria's business sense and sense of style could not shake the idea that they were onto something. Rock and Roll Massage was born.
